Kelly D. Brownell, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at Yale University, where he also serves as Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health and as Co-Director of the Yale Center for Eating and Weight Disorders. Fairburn, DM, FRCPsych., is Wellcome Trust Senior Lecturer and Honorary Clinical Reader in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford. A well-known international authority on eating disorders with research programs in Britain and the United States, he is coeditor (with G. One book received the Choice Award for Outstanding Academic Book from the American Library Association, and his paper on "Understanding and Preventing Relapse" published in the American Psychologist has been listed as one of the ten most frequently cited papers in psychology.
