Jin Palmer is a mom of three vibrant children and feels passionate about teaching the concept of self-love to young children. After having her first child, she realized that every individual on this planet is somebody’s child, and that makes all of us very special. This seemingly obvious but profound realization changed her perspective on life. This book is a result of her mission to spread the message of self-compassion to young children based on her new perspective as a mom. Jin loved painting with watercolors as a child. She decided to pick up her paintbrush again as she had a strong desire to express her passion for this book. She hoped to capture the joyful little things in life as a parent—the adorably tiny feet that are gently crossed; the warmth of soft, round fingers; and the complete openness only children naturally possess. Her daughter, Erika (currently a fourth grader), graciously played the role of editor in chief during the creation of this book.
