Name and address stamps of renowned violin maker, Mario Frosati on endpapers and half-title. Mario Forsali was a respected violin maker who worked in Los Angeles. He came to the United States from Milan as a concert violinist in 1909. His instruments are highly sought after.

A detailed and profusely illustrated celebration of Stradivari and his instruments published on the tercentenary of his birth. Although not called for this copy has been INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR "To Mr. E. M. Daggit with all best wishes, Ernest N. Doring, September 17, 1945." Lightly rubbing at extremities otherwise near fine. Clean and tight with crisp text. The slipcase is present but missing the backstrip. Scarce signed. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. SIGNED.
